Our commitment

FabPro Hair Supplies Ltd is committed to making fabprohair.com accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards.

We believe that everyone should be able to shop, apply for a trade account, and access product information without barriers. Accessibility is not an afterthought — it is part of how we build and maintain this website.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA across fabprohair.com.

We are working towards full conformance. Some areas of the site may not yet meet all Level AA criteria — these are noted under Known Limitations below. We are actively working to resolve them.

What we’ve done

Keyboard navigation

All interactive elements — links, buttons, form fields and navigation — are accessible by keyboard. Focus states are clearly visible throughout the site.

Screen reader compatibility

We use semantic HTML throughout. Product images include descriptive alt text. Form fields have associated labels. ARIA attributes are used where additional context is needed for assistive technologies.

Colour and contrast

Text and interactive elements meet minimum contrast ratios as defined by WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We do not use colour alone to convey information.

Resizable text

Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality. The site is responsive and adapts to all screen sizes including mobile devices.

Forms

All forms — including checkout, account registration, contact and trade account application — include clearly labelled fields, error identification, and error suggestions to help users complete them successfully.

Known limitations

  • Some third-party payment provider interfaces may not be fully under our control in terms of accessibility. We have chosen providers who maintain their own accessibility commitments.
  • Product image zoom functionality may not be fully accessible to all keyboard users. We are reviewing this and will implement an accessible alternative.
  • Some older product images may have missing or insufficient alt text. We are systematically reviewing and improving image descriptions.

Technical information

fabprohair.com is built using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript on a WordPress/WooCommerce platform. We test using automated tools and manual testing with screen readers including NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.
